Privacy Policy

Last updated 2 June 2026

This policy explains what data Travelligence collects, why, and the choices you have. We've built the site to need as little of your information as possible.

Template notice. This is a general-purpose policy provided as a starting point. Before relying on it, have it reviewed by a qualified professional and fill in your full business and contact details to match how the site actually operates.

Who we are

Travelligence ("we", "us") operates the website at travelligence.net. We are the data controller for personal data handled through this site. You can reach us about privacy at [email protected]. (Add your registered business name, address and any other required details here.)

What we collect

We keep data collection deliberately minimal. Specifically:

  • Contact-form data. If you use our contact form, we receive the information you submit — typically your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message — so we can reply.
  • Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps) to keep the site running securely and reliably.
  • Browser storage. We use localStorage in your browser to remember your cookie-consent choice and to save your preferences in our tools. This information stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Our Avios value calculator and flight-delay checker run entirely in your browser. The figures you enter are processed on your device and are not transmitted to us or stored on any server. We do not operate user accounts, take payments, or make bookings, and we are not a claims firm.

Why we use it (lawful bases)

Under UK GDPR, we rely on:

  • Legitimate interests — to read and reply to messages you send us, and to keep the site secure and working.
  • Consent — for any optional analytics, which only run if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Who processes data for us

  • Our hosting provider stores the site and may process server logs on our behalf.
  • Google Fonts. We load fonts from Google's servers, which means your IP address is shared with Google when fonts are requested. You can read more on Google's own privacy pages.

Cookies and tracking

We use minimal cookies and browser storage. A consent popup lets you accept or reject optional analytics; we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.

How long we keep it

We keep contact-form messages only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any reasonable follow-up, then delete them. Server logs are retained for a limited period by our host for security and diagnostics. Browser storage stays on your device until you clear it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the personal data we hold about you, to object to certain processing, and to data portability where it applies. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Children

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows the current version.
