About Travelligence
We help travellers make money-smart decisions — by explaining the bits the industry would rather keep confusing, and giving you free tools to act on them.
Our mission
Travel is full of value that quietly slips away: points spent at the wrong time, compensation never claimed, insurance bought without understanding what it covers. Travelligence exists to close those gaps. We take the parts of travel that are deliberately opaque — loyalty programmes, passenger-rights law, insurance small print — and turn them into clear, confident decisions, backed by tools that do the maths.
How we stay honest about money
The site is free, funded partly through affiliate links: if you click through to a provider and go on to buy, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. That's the extent of it. We don't take payment to recommend products, we don't run pay-to-rank lists, and — importantly — we are not a claims company. When you're owed flight compensation, we show you how to claim it yourself, for free, and keep every penny. Where a page has affiliate links, we say so; the full detail is on our disclosure page.
What we are — and aren't
We're an independent guide and tools site. We are not a travel agent, an insurance broker, a financial adviser or a claims-management company, and nothing here is professional advice. Loyalty schemes and passenger-rights rules change, so we focus on principles and method — the things that stay true — and always point you to official sources to confirm the current detail.
Our tools, and your privacy
The Avios value calculator and flight-delay checker run entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to us or stored on a server. We think your travel plans and point balances are your business, not ours.
Part of a small travel network
Travelligence is one of a few independent travel sites we run, each focused on a different part of the journey. Our sister sites Travelocities and Traveliase cover holiday planning and travel insurance.
