Disclosure & Disclaimer
This is the honest-money page. It explains how the site is funded, what we are not, and the limits of everything you read and calculate here.
Affiliate disclosure
Travelligence is free to use. It's funded partly through affiliate links: if you click through to a provider and go on to buy, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We don't accept payment to rank or recommend products — there's no pay-to-rank here — and commission never affects what we advise. Where a page includes affiliate links, we flag it.
We are not a claims company
This is important. When you're owed flight-delay compensation, we never take a cut. We show you how to claim it yourself, directly with the airline, for free — so you keep every penny. We are not a claims-management company and we don't process claims on your behalf.
Claims firms can take a sizeable percentage of your payout. You usually don't need one — our flight-delay checker and guides walk you through claiming yourself.
Not professional advice
Everything here is general information only. We are not a travel agent, insurance broker, financial adviser or claims-management company, and nothing on this site is legal, financial, insurance or other professional advice. For advice tailored to your situation, speak to a suitably qualified professional.
Accuracy & changing rules
Loyalty programmes, carrier surcharges, award charts and passenger-rights amounts change and vary by airline, route and programme. The compensation amounts set by regulation — currently around £220/£350/£520 under UK261 and €250/€400/€600 under EU261, depending on distance — can be updated by the rules over time. Always confirm the current figures and check official sources before relying on them.
Tool estimates
Our calculators and checkers use the inputs you provide and published rules to produce estimates and general guidance. They are not quotes, valuations or legal rulings, and the flight-delay checker is not a guarantee of payment — only the airline or relevant authority can confirm an actual entitlement.
